ABOUT US
About Heavenly Vines
Established in January 2011, Heavenly Vines is a direct import and sales company dealing exclusively with Canadian wine and spirits. As a Canadian and Japanese wine-loving couple, we started this company to bring some of the amazing Canadian wines and spirits that exist in minimal quantities to passionate wine and spirits lovers here in Japan!
We aim to bring you wines and spirits that enchance your lives due to their quality, uniquness and commitment to terroir. Nothing generic!
Our wines are available anytime online and in our store in Ebisu (Tokyo). Wholesale and delivery are also available nationwide.
Unparalleled Selection
Heavenly Vines boasts the world's largest selection of Canadian wines outside of Canada. We usually have about 220 different wines from about 25 wineries in stock as well as some of the rarest craft gins and bitters from Edmonton, near the Canadian Rockies.
The wines we make available are from the top boutique producers across the country. Hand-crafted, sustainable, organic or biodynamic. The sorts of wines that take top honours at the world's top wine competitions.
Canadian Wine Experts
Canadian wine is produced in very small quantities and is mostly consumed within the provinces of origin. They are extremely hard to get even within Canada.
Being Canadian, own Jamie Paquin has been able to make connections that only a Canadian can make, which allows him to keep up to date with the latest local information and to source wines from boutique producers who are excited by his passion for sharing their wines with the appreciative wine lovers of Japan.
We are proud to have a large selection of products that are difficult to find in Canada, including those that are only available at wineries and those that are already sold out. Some Canadian wine lovers even come all the way to Heavenly Vines to buy products that are not available in Canada.
Commitment to Quality Control
Wine is very sensitive to temperature, humidity, and other environmental factors, and the condition of the wine will vary depending on the storage environment. Wine that has been carefully produced at the winery is transported by air or reefer container at a constant temperature, which is the least stressful for the wine. Even after arriving in Japan, we pay close attention to controlling the temperature and humidity suitable for the wine.
In addition, while paying close attention to quality control, we try our best to introduce wines at prices as close to local prices as possible, with as little extra cost as possible.
The Store
Heavenly Vines' physical store is located in Ebisu, Tokyo. We make claim to being the world's only all-Canadian wine store since we carry exclusively Canadian wines and have wines from coast to coast. In Canada you cannot find a store with wines from across the country!
We love seeing you in person and enjoy helping you select wines that suit your tastes and budget. We enjoy helping to enchance your wine knowledge in the process too so we welcome the curious beginner as well as the wine expert!
However as most of you are not going to be nearby, we are happy to answer questions via email and send off wines to you in a day or two.
Our shop is a 8-minute walk from JR Ebisu Station and about a 2-minute walk from Ebisu Garden Place.
Events
We regularly hold wine dinners and events and are happy to help you organize your own. Personal or corporate events to impress your clients.
We hold events of all sizes, from wine course dinners at five-star hotels to wine parties at cozy bistros to standing tasting events at our store. All of them are fun events where wine lovers, Canadian wine lovers, etc. gather.

About the Owners
Jamie Paquin (Representative Director)
I was born in Brockville, Ontario and came to Japan as a sociology researcher, but as my passion for wine and the desire to introduce Canadian wines to Japanese wine lovers grew, I left academia behind and dived into the wine business!
Nozomi Mihara
When I was studying abroad in California, I became interested in California wine because of the movie "Sideways" that was being shown there. Since Jamie and I started visiting Canadian wineries, I have been completely fascinated by the world of Canadian wine, not only because of the delicious wines, but also because of the passion and sincere attitude of Canadian winemakers towards winemaking and the picturesque scenery of the vineyards.
