Strathcona Spirits Distillery

Strathcona Spirits is born of several strokes of fortune; good timing, bad timing, faith and despair in good measure, resourcefulness, and good old fashioned hard work.
Strathcona Spirits is Edmonton’s first distillery. We produce fine, very small batch spirits using traditional methods in a tiny, sunny boomtown building in Old Strathcona. Our small team is developing an expanding line of fine spirits that embody the essence of Edmonton and it’s surrounding land by using locally grown grains, botanicals and other ingredients.
Born from the ashes of a live arts space, the passion for the distillery was sourced from a strong interest in the real alchemy of distillation, the collection of essence, local flora, the fascinating world of aging spirits, and our desire for Edmonton to be a part of this history, being as we sit surrounded by some of the finest grains available on earth.

From this Producer
Slow distilled in the traditional London Dry style, this dynamic gin is the expression of 10 unique botanicals. We’ve employed wild juniper from the fossil filled Alberta Badlands, as well as Seaberry, a tangy, tart, sweet bright orange berry that is found growing all over the City of Edmonton; which is where we pick it.
This meticulously crafted gin complements any cocktail with its wild juniper, citrusy flavour followed by a rich, peppery finish.
Aged in virgin American white oak whiskey barrels, this smokin', oaken gin is a whiskey drinker's botanical dream. Ten lovely botanicals include wild-foraged juniper from the Alberta Badlands and rogue-picked Seaberry from the streets of Edmonton. Slow distilled, then blessed with the Midas touch by time, fire and oak. Enjoy on its own, or in a gin or whiskey cocktail.
