Tasting notes
Fans of the iconic Foxtrot Vineyards Pinot Noirs will recognize the Henricsson (and previously Ericsson) name, as the amazing fruit from this vineyard was previously a single vineyard wine made at Foxtrot. This wine presents a great chance to explore how this terroir is expressed in different hands.
The wine appears a clear garnet colour with appealing black cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant aromatics up front with a touch of vanilla and oak, leather and cedar. These characteristics carry through on the palate with a great deal of intensity and a long finish. Very old world character with the potential to age 10 years or more but appealing now, especially with an hour in a decanter. Serve at 16C.
MyVanCity.ca "20 months barrel aging results in a rich, round, subdued and elegant wine. For me, this one exhibits more old world character and was my favourite."

"The Henricsson Vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noirs are the best BC iterations I have ever tasted in my 30-year wine career." - Marquis Wine Cellars (Vancouver) owner John Clerides
A small scale, hand-made operation, Henricsson Vineyard produced only about 500 cases per year. Using old and even ancient primarily Burgundian winemaking techniques, they strive to produce wines that are bright, energetic and focused, with character and pedigree. Elegant and balanced, with a purity of fruit, and an acidic backbone with finesse and subtlety.....always using wild yeast for fermentations, as well as absolute minimal sulphur. Their passion is alive and thriving!
The small vineyard is also organically farmed.
