Tasting notes
Fans of the iconic Foxtrot Vineyards Pinot Noirs will recognize the Henricsson (and previously Ericsson) name, as the amazing fruit from this vineyard was previously a single vineyard wine made at Foxtrot. This wine presents a great chance to explore how this terroir is expressed in different hands.
Ripe red fruits and earth on the nose followed by ripe dark and red fruits on the palate. This wine drinks well now with a one hour decant and will easily age 10 year or more. Serve at 16C.
11 months in barrel, cherry, strawberry and spice dominate the palate.
Similar to the 2015 but more elegance over power.

Producer Description
"The Henricsson Vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noirs are the best BC iterations I have ever tasted in my 30-year wine career." - Marquis Wine Cellars (Vancouver) owner John Clerides
A small scale, hand-made operation, Henricsson Vineyard produced only about 500 cases per year. Using old and even ancient primarily Burgundian winemaking techniques, they strive to produce wines that are bright, energetic and focused, with character and pedigree. Elegant and balanced, with a purity of fruit, and an acidic backbone with finesse and subtlety.....always using wild yeast for fermentations, as well as absolute minimal sulphur. Their passion is alive and thriving!
The small vineyard is also organically farmed.
