Tasting notes

This lighter style red is light ruby in colour with smooth notes of cranberry, plum and a hint vanilla on the nose. The palate has an earthy tone, as is typical with Pinot Noir in this region, and finishes with notes of strawberry, spice and cherry.

From the Niagara Peninsula wine region, Eastdell 2017 Pinot Noir is ruby in the glass with some bricking. Fragrant and earthy on the nose with sous bois, crushed raspberry and spicy aromas this PN is dry, medium-bodied with red berry, raspberry, plum, savoury herbs and a touch of spice and well-balanced with food-friendly acidity. Lightly chill and enjoy with roast chicken.

The growing season started out unusually mild, with higher precipitation levels than normal. The rain continued throughout the summer months, luckily, we had enough hot and sunny days at the end of summer and through the fall to allow full maturity in the grapes. This turned out to be a terrific vintage.
