Solvero Blanc de Noir 2023
Pricing
¥7,700 (incl. tax)
Product description
Traditional-method sparkling wine made entirely from Pinot Noir. Citrus peel, apple and pear lead into brioche and roasted almonds. Bright acidity balances lees-derived richness, with a fine mousse, chalk-like minerality and a lingering citrus-and-pastry finish.
Winemaking: Happy Valley and Garnet Valley fruit was picked in late August for its balance of sugar and acidity. Gentle whole-bunch pressing separated the free-run juice for this cuvée. The base wine fermented equally in neutral French oak and stainless steel. It spent 20 months en tirage before disgorgement in March 2026, with no dosage. Alcohol: 12.3%.

- Producer Description
Solvero began with a family conversation over cool-climate Pinot Noir in 2012 and a search for a distinctive Okanagan vineyard site. The family found a 25-acre property in Garnet Valley, Summerland, planting seven Pinot Noir clones in five blocks in 2016, Chardonnay in 2017 and Gamay in 2023. Steep slopes and varied glacial soils shape the estate. Farming follows la lutte raisonnée, with careful intervention and biodiversity supported by woodland, fruit trees, vegetables, chickens and ducks. Solvero means “truth in soil”.
