Leaning Post 2021 Pétillant Naturel
A playful, farm-animal-labelled Pet Nat made in the ancestral method — bottled while still fermenting to capture its natural bubbles. Serve well chilled, and pour immediately.
From the ground up, we’re crafting wine with a passion so fierce, you can taste it.
Founded by Ilya and Nadia Senchuk in 2011 on 11 acres in Winona, at the far western edge of the Niagara Peninsula, Leaning Post Wines built its reputation on single-vineyard, sub-appellation-driven Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Winemaker Ilya Senchuk sources fruit from a small circle of sites he knows intimately — the estate's own Senchuk Vineyard along with Grimsby Hillside, Keczan, Hemeris and Bock — farmed and vinified with minimal intervention so each site's character comes through clearly in the glass. Leaning Post was an early champion of the Lincoln Lakeshore sub-appellation designation and is Certified Sustainable by Sustainable Winegrowing Ontario. The wines have consistently ranked among Ontario's top producers and are poured in leading restaurants in Toronto, Montreal, London and Copenhagen.

The terroir of Four Mile Creek in Niagara-on-the-Lake shines through in this vibrant, food-friendly Gamay from Hubel Creek Vineyard.
A blend of Chardonnay from two of Leaning Post's vineyard sites: 85% from Grimsby Hillside Vineyard and 15% from the estate Senchuk Vineyard. Whole-cluster pressed and fermented with indigenous yeast in French oak, where it aged for ten months before bottling in September 2025.
This blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Syrah always over-delivers for the price. From the moderate and beautiful 2023 vintage, the ripeness shines through in a lovely, mid-weight palate with powerful but soft tannins that make it satisfying to drink now with a good decant.
A blend of fruit from four different vineyards across the best appellations in Niagara, the 2024 Pinot Noir is the epitome of the Leaning Post style — approachable, yet showing real depth and complexity.
A natural wine made with no additions of any kind. This Merlot — from a small, 48-case lot — is a deep and fascinating expression of Niagara fruit, bottled with nothing but the grapes themselves.
A limited wine club library release. This 100% Chardonnay sparkling wine comes from a beautiful old-vines (40+ years) block on the Beamsville Bench, made in the traditional method with extended aging on lees in bottle.
The estate's flagship single-vineyard Chardonnay. WOW — the concentration, acidity, and balance are truly unparalleled, creating a classic expression of Senchuk Vineyard. It is both powerful and delicate in equal measure, tightly wound and built to reward patience.
The estate's flagship single-vineyard Pinot Noir. There is a flavour weight and density at its core, with lovely acidity and freshness, yet an elegance and balance that sets it apart — layers of earth and dirt are dialed up without ever losing the fruit.
